St Nicholas Church December 2015 Report
The Pudding Club in the Village Hall on Saturday October 31st was a great fun evening. We were served delicious soup and the puddings to die for. Choices for our puddings ranged from Bakewell tart to Summer fruit and Eaton mess, all served with a choice of custard, cream or ice cream and even all three on your plate. We offer our grateful thanks to
Shirley and her little band of helpers for a truly enjoyable evening. The event raised the magnificent sum £644.00 divided between the church and village hall.
Remembrance Sunday 8th November was well attended by villagers and St. Nicholas church congregation. Wreaths were laid by Chairman of the Parish Council Mr. Richard Pinchin and the Church Warden Mr. John Whitney for all the fallen from Tadmarton, all their names were read out and crosses of remembrance were placed by the memorial in the churchyard.
A messy Church was held in The Village Hall on Saturday 14th November. Sixteen children and their guests (parents etc.), had a great time with fun games and painting. A feast of chicken nuggets and fish fingers, with chips of course, had to be enjoyed by all.
Sunday 6th December at 4pm will be the St Nicholas service in the church. You will hear about the original St Nicholas and we may have a visit from Father Christmas as well. There will be songs and a few prayers and a collection taken for The Children’s Society.
