Election of Tadmarton Parish Councillors

There are 6 positions available for Tadmarton and nominations for these positions must be with the returning officer at Cherwell District Council by 4pm on Thursday 9th April 2026.
​
Details of the elections being held in Oxfordshire and how to submit your nomination to become a councillor can be found in the document attached below.
Please ensure your name is placed on the Electoral Register for these elections that are to be held in May 2026.

Community Led Timetabled BUS Service?
Tadmarton & Swalcliffe Parish Councils are looking into the possibility of running our own Community Bus.
​
Imagine a local Bus Service with a regular timetable going to the places we all need to be at, or would like to be at. The Horton Hospital, Gateway Shopping, The Town Centre, for instance?
​
Would YOU like YOUR own Bus, because without passengers, the wheels on the Bus do not go round!

Easter Egg Trail & Easter Bonnet Competition
Saturday 4th April 10:00 - 12:00
Join us for a fun easter egg trail around Tadmarton! Wander through the village keeping your eys peeled for our egg-shaped clues hidden along the way.

£2 per child (an easter egg for every completed answer sheet)

Create a fun, colourful hat together at home and bring it along - Prize for the most outstanding Bonnet!

Local Government Reorganisation
A public consultation on the proposals for Local Government Reorganisation in Oxfordshire has now started.
The consultation is available on the Gov.uk website and we would encourage you to respond.
The consultation is seeking views on the proposals received from the councils in Oxfordshire. The deadline for responses is 26th March 2026 at 11.59pm.

Chair Exercise

For those who struggle with mobility but would still like to exercise this is the class for you.

Chair Fitness is a type of physical activity that involves using a chair to exercise while seated. It can be a low-impact, gentle, and challenging workout that can help improve strength, mobility, and fitness levels. Chair fitness can be beneficial for people with mobility or balance issues, chronic pain, or who are recovering from an injury.

Line Dancing
Monday evenings 7pm to 8:15pm
No experience necessary, but a good sense of humour does help.
​
We use a variety of styles of music as well as incorporating different levels of dance so there is something for everyone.
The group is run by seasoned amateur Gwen Phipps and her apprentice Mery Wolke
PAYG £2.50 suggested donation per person to the Village Hall
(Age 16 and over welcome).
Kids and Caffeine
Most Saturdays (10am - 12 noon)

The Luncheon Club takes place at the Village hall on the 4th Friday of each month (excluding December)
